Tournament TimeAll senior competitors with prepared speeches must complete the script submission process using the NEW Stoa Hub Script Submission Process
Junior and JV Script Submission will be IN PERSON at the tournament and follows different guidelines from Stoa. Please click HERE for information regarding Jr and JV Speech Events, and see the Jr/JV Speech Tab on the Home page for script submission details.
WHO: Competitors who are entered in the following events must submit scripts for approval
Interpretive Speeches: Dramatic, Duo, Humorous, Open
Platform Speeches: Expository, Original Oratory, Persuasive
Wild Card Event: Slam Poetry
WHAT:
Each script submission should include the following pages:
-Signed script submission form for each speech event
-Typed copy of the speech script
-Works cited page (for Original Oratory, Persuasive, Expository and Slam Poetry)
-Highlighted photocopy of the original source text, including added words (for Dramatic
Interp, Duo Interp, Humorous Interp, and Open Interp)
WHEN: Important Dates and Deadlines
Script Submission Opens: March 5, 2025, at 6pm
Script Deadline: March 19, 2026, at 6pm
Revised Scripts Deadline: March 26, 2026, at 6pm
All scripts must be initially submitted by March 19, 2026 to avoid being dropped from that event or incurring a late fee. You will receive a confirmation email once your script has been received and approved.
How to Submit Scripts Electronically:
On the Script Submission Tab for the tournament, you will see which scripts are due. You will see what day and time you submitted a script, and the status.
To upload a script, click "Choose File" and add your script. It must be less than 10mb
Once you hit upload, you’ll see your status change and the review team will review it. Your script will either be approved or you will see that your script needs revisions, along with the notes of the reviewer. Remember to check here DAILY to see if revisions are needed. You MUST log in to check your status. You will also receive an email with updates of your status throughout the process.
